3rd ASRN network meeting

The 3rd ASRN network meeting will take place at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest on 26 and 27 August. The planned agenda is as follows:

 

  • Issues of the methodology of teaching Australian Studies subjects to various student populations, with special regards to the BA and MA levels: Participants are encouraged to present their course descriptions focusing on both the content and the methodology of the courses. (course requirements, approaches to presenting new materials, task types, methods and standards of assessment, etc.)
  • Discussing how we might be able to share resources.
  • Establishing joint research projects.
  • Discussing the setting up of a regular (yearly?) forum for presenting research or other academic work.
  • Discussing the possibilities of organizing the external reviewing of degree theses.
  • Discussing the financing of the lecture tours.
  • Preparing the Australian Studies special session at the HUSSE (Hungarian Society for Studies in English) conference in Pécs on 22-24 January, 2009.
